Eligibility and Admission Criteria in the Study Circle:

AP Study Circle Would conduct a Pre-Qualifying Test in the Month of July / August every Year and select the eligible Candidates for regular Coaching for UPSC Civil Services (Prelims).

1.Eligibility

1. The Candidate must hold a degree of any recognized university.
2. Age Limit (as on 1st of August)
   Minimum: 21 Years for all Candidates
   Maximum: 32 Years
1. Upper Limit of 5 Years relaxation for SC/ST Candidates
2. 3years for BC's
3. Reservation of Specially abled / Divyangs & women candidates as per the State Government Norms.

2. Admissions procedure:

1. Advertisement or press note will be published/ released in the Month of July/ August every Year for Pre- Qualify test (PQT). Interested Candidates may have to register their names in the AP Study Circle Web Site.
2. The Candidates will be allowed to download the Hall tickets from the study circle’s web site before 10 days of actual Pre- Qualify Test date.
3. PQT proposed to be Conducted at least one Examination Centre/ District/ Online, as per the possibility.
4. Eligible Candidates may have to appear for PQT for 2 Hrs duration of objective type Questions on Current events/ Contemporary Issues, General Science, General Issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-Diversity & Climate Change, Indian Polity and development, Economic and social Development in India, India's & World Geography, and India's National Moment.
5. Based on the merit and Community reservations as stated in the table above the Candidate will be selected for Admission for residential Coaching. The following certificates have to be submitted at the time of Admission for Verification.
   1. Any Degree Certificate
   2. Community Certificate
   3. Nativity Certificate
   4. 3 Passport Size photos and 1 stamp Size Photo.
6. A Monthly stipend of Mess allowance / Book allowance etc. will be provided to the Candidates attending Prelims Coaching as per the Government Norms.

1. Candidates from Andhra Pradesh who have qualified in the UPSC Prelims Examination are admitted to Mains Examination Coaching (50-75 Candidates). Application for Mains Coaching will be Issued by AP Study Circle on the Following day of Announcement of results of UPSC Prelims.
2. The Selection of Candidates will be finalized in 4-5 Working Days. Admission is open for mains coaching to all the candidates who are qualified from Andhra Pradesh as per the state Government reservation norms mentioned earlier in the table.
3. The Mains coaching will start in July/ August every year and till the mains Exam at Visakhapatnam branch of AP Study Circle.
4. A Monthly stipend of Mess allowance / Book allowance etc. will be provided to the Candidates attending Mains Coaching as per the Government Norms.

1. AP study Circle Also Conducts Model Personality Test for UPSC Mains Exams Qualified Candidates.
2. These tests will be handled with the help of experienced All India Services (IAS/ IPS/ IFS) Officers / Central services IRS officers and Prominent Academicians

1. Candidates who have attended the model Personality tests organized by AP Study Circle, would be provided accommodation at AP Bhavan, New Delhi on priority Basis.
2. Also the above Candidates may be Provided with Travel allowance subject to the State Government rules in force if any.
